$2.3M Demand Ends in $43K Verdict: Defense Win

Elham Rabbani and Adrian Douglas received the verdict in a case where plaintiff had cervical and lumbar surgeries in 2024, and future recommendations for cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacements. Plaintiff claimed that there was close to $1 million dollars in necessary and reasonable medical treatment.

The defense 998 was for $100,000 and plaintiff asked the jury for $2,325,250.00.

Liability was admitted by the defense. Defendant made a left-hand turn and plaintiff was taken by ambulance to the ER. The defense argued that he was found to have “no serious injury” by the ER doctor, and that all other treatment was Attorney driven.

The verdict was $43,000.00 total.

The jury gave plaintiff $30,000.00, for past medical expenses and $13,000.00 for non-economic damages. There were no future medical expenses, or non-economic damages awarded.
