Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution. The candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated and have an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an active member in good standing with the California Bar
- Possess civil litigation experience and insurance defense experience.
- Must have a high level of organization, detail orientation and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines

Paralegal
Assist attorneys with discovery, drafting pleadings, and trial preparation. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent
- 3 years previous experience
- Superior time management.
- Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
- Knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure, California State Court rules and procedures
- Ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to investigate, document and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Candidates should have previous experience working for one or more attorneys and are responsible for organizing and maintaining all files, calendaring/ scheduling, and other correspondence relating to litigation and administrative matters. They also must meet the following requirements:
- Must have 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced law firm as a civil litigation legal assistant/legal secretary (personal injury experience preferred).
- The candidate must be self-starting with a “hit the ground running” work ethic.
- Experience with case intake/opening.
- Experience with managing deadlines and ensuring attorneys meet the same.
- Experience with filing and service in California superior, federal and appellate courts.
- Knowledge of rules relating to service and filing of pleadings and discovery.
- Familiarity with expert designation and deposition process.
- Familiarity with trial-triggered deadlines.
- Be comfortable with client/insurance carrier contact via email and phone.
- Must have trial preparation experience, including preparation, service, and filing of trial documents, motions in limine, and preparation of exhibit binders.
