Robert Gonter is a highly experienced trial attorney with more than 30 years of practice focused on complex, high-exposure litigation. He has served as lead counsel in over 1,000 trials, arbitrations, and mediations, including catastrophic personal injury and multi-party matters requiring the coordination of more than 30 law firms. His extensive courtroom experience has made him a trusted advocate for clients facing significant legal and financial risk.

Robert’s practice spans general liability, product liability, construction defect, HOA, automobile, fraud, and complex personal injury defense. He has tried more than 100 civil cases to jury verdict and resolved over 1,000 additional matters through arbitration and mediation. His experience includes defending claims involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, spinal cord and brain injuries, employment discrimination, insurance fraud, and uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage.

He regularly represents manufacturers, distributors, retailers, contractors, homeowner associations, insurers, and self-insured entities. In product liability matters, Robert brings a unique perspective from having represented every level of the distribution chain, allowing him to efficiently and strategically resolve complex claims.

Robert is an AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates since 1996. He also serves as an arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles and Orange County Superior Courts.
