Joyce R. Dondanville is a Partner at G3PM with over 31 years’ civil litigation experience. She focuses on insurance litigation—coverage and defense, with emphasis on vehicular cases, product and premises liability, medical and professional malpractice, directors’ and officers’ liability, government liability, toxic torts, construction injuries, insurance coverage, and bad-faith claims. Previously she was assistant general counsel at American Safety Insurance Company, providing coverage analysis. As lead trial counsel, she has tried numerous juries across Southern California and represented insurers, sureties, construction professionals, contractors, and individuals in arbitrations, mediations, and administrative matters. She has also lectured on construction law and California mechanic’s lien issues.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Mrs. Dondanville moved to San Diego in 1985 and was a flight attendant for a few years before continuing her formal education. She was also a professional cheerleader for the Buffalo Bills and went to their first super bowl.  Mrs. Dondanville attended the University of San Diego and earned her Bachelor in Accountancy degree in 1992.  Mrs. Dondanville continued her legal education at California Western School of Law, where she was on the Dean’s Honor list and a member of the Advocacy Honors Board, receiving her Juris Doctorate in 1995.

Mrs. Dondanville has a vast array of experiences and connects well with the firm’s clients.  She has had great success with resolving cases in a timely and cost-effective manner.  She is a big advocate of keeping the client informed and has regular and frequent communications with both the client and the carrier.  This combination of timeliness, cost-effectiveness, and constant communication has made Mrs. Dondanville very successful.
